Bob Frost’s paintings are characterised by speculative shapes and bold colours, often merging matte colour with transparent nebulous forms. Working mainly in acrylic his painting practice is intuitive and instinctive, sensing what the paint is doing and feeling his reaction to it in that moment. As he says:
“I make paintings, not pictures – I don’t know what it’s about until it’s about something.”

Having spent time at art colleges in Bristol and Stroud as well as working through an A-Z of jobs, Bob has always returned to painting, and now in his mid seventies, he has started exhibiting.

Fuelled by curiosity, he is always looking, collecting and creating. Bob lives and works in Cam, Gloucestershire.
